UNFUCK THE WORLD Like seriously, this is truly th
e sentiment of 2020. We mightn’t have all the skills at our disposal to do so, though the ballot box in the US this fall is a start. In the meantime, Berlinbased Nina Hynes has delivered a melodic beaut of a track, namely Unfuck the World. She celebrates 21-years releasing music this year and sincerely knows the hard grind which it entails. However, we are the lucky ones to be the benefactors of material of this calibre. The accompanying video by Richie Heffernan stars her daughter Caia navigating fear in an U-Bahn station and embracing freedom through dance. The apple doesn’t fall far from the talent tree. ninahynes.bandcamp.com ROADMAP Michael McDermott Any excuse… to get a shot of the Pigeon House made into candles on our pages. pigeon-house.com LICK IT REAL GOOD This month’s stamp love-in comes in the form of the reimagining of 42 seminal post-punk albums as a series of oversized postage stamps beginning in 1977 with Television’s seminal album Marquee Moon and ending with Depeche Mode’s Violator in 1990.
