Kashink berättar: ”I usually improvise when I wor
k, just like a musician who would play a variation of their style when on stage. I consider myself a performer more than just a ”street artist”, and it’s a very important part of my artistic work to stay in that spontaneity in order to be inspired. I need to be in front of the wall in order to feel its soul. It’s very important for me, as a creative person, to be inspired directly from the people who live in that area, the global environment where the site is placed, the interactions I can have with locals. I understood that natural elements were an important part of the area, so I included that in my composition. I did some research on Swedish landscapes, forest, mountains, flowers, plants, and berries in order to include them in the general composition. I’ve been painting walls for almost 15 years. My work is about celebrating the diversity of humanity, and using very bright colors in order to create joyful pieces, with bold lines and strong messages.” PUMPHUSET I SICKLA WHEN ART IS THE GOLD 23 FOTO: FREDRIKA FRIBERG
