EXPRESSTEATERN Expressteatern, an independent the
atre group based in Malmö, creates productions for young audiences based on physical theatre traditions. The Bear Who Didn’t Want to Sleep (“Björnen som inte ville sova”) is an interactive play about the little bear Ursula who thinks it is boring to sleep all winter (for ages 4–7). Did I Really? is an interactive mime play in English performed in classrooms, about the evil Mr X, who, disguised as the school janitor, steals the children’s feelings (for ages 10–12). That’s Revolting is a new (2016) interactive play in English performed in classrooms. Ed Damron plays a range of historical characters in this historical/hysterical play with roots in the 18th-century American and French revolutions (for ages 14–16).
