Fish To Farm Jazz City Stureplan recently found itself home to a new venue. The Hotel Kung Carl has opened up the jazz club Innergården in their light garden, with live music pencilled in for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The club is inspired, in both decor and atmosphere by the 1920s period of the hotel’s 150-plus year-old history, when the Kung Carl was a vibrant part of the city’s nightlife scene, and one of the few places in the city to have a permit for live music and dancing. “Our guests can expect swinging tunes from both established and unknown artists”, says Kung Carls Bakficka CEO Jan Andersson. “It will be a pleasant place to hang in our bar with its fantastic acoustics and historic environment”. Innergården, Birger Jarlsgatan 21, is open now, and its season runs until December 15. Malin Söderström‘s seafood restaurant The Fishery has been one of the most popular options at the multi-restaurant concept Teatern for a while now. And over the summer they announced they were expanding, and that expansion is finally here. A new Fishery outlet will now open at Brunkebergstorg, with the same menu as the Teatern outlet. However, what is new is that it will open with a sister venture, Farm Family. While The Fishery focuses on, well, fish, Farm Family will instead serve salads and vegetable-based dishes, with one option being their No.1 salad (Green Beens or chicken with roasted cauliflower, French beans, green peas, onion confit, tomatoes, olives, herbs and parmesan. They’ll be open weekdays between 10:30 and 19:30 and on weekends between 12:00 and 17:00. The Fishery, The Farm Family, Brunkebergstorg 14 6 Photo: Lina Scheynius Photo: Nationalmuseum/Bruno Ehrs
