SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2019 MEET OUR NEW PAYROLL S
PECIALIST MARCUS RUMIN TRAINING INDEX As vehicle technician’s competence and development is an important part of our future the education hours is being registered as per employed vehicle technician. The index shows how great access our technicians have to further education and competence development in hours compared to the total number of workhours. This index is compared between brands as well as regionally across the corporation and presents both short and flexible efforts such as digital distance courses as well as longer educational investments. RESULTS As of 2019 we have achieved a training index of 3.13%, which is a decline since 2018. GOALS The goal is that every technician should be able to obtain competence enhancing training of at least 2.5% every year. Our latest addition to the department is Marcus Rumin, 28 years old that was hired at the end of last year at the payroll department, directly after his internship. Marcus tells us about his time as an intern: “I thought that I would be doing classic intern stuff, but I got to try several advanced tasks from day one in the handling of salaries. I’ve really gained a lot of trust from my colleagues, as well as a real insight as to what my future roll means. MARCUS RUMIN - OUR NEW PAYROLL SPECIALIST The need for specialists within several academical professions are on a rise, such as within the payroll profession. There is a shortage of personnel with a high competence within this area and many companies experience troubles in recruiting experienced competence. The modern payroll process combined with an increasingly complex set of rules and laws and an increased globalization puts high demands on the payroll professional of today. The IT-development, whit systems where you yourself registers and finds information is just one example on how this role has been modernized. In order to find the modern payroll specialists of the future, we at Hedin Bil cooperate with vocational universities within payroll administration in order to market ourselves at an early stage as a safe, future and modern employer within the salary profession. A third of the total time spent in school for a payroll specialist is in fact as an intern on one or several workplaces. The purpose of the internship is to get a better grasp of what the profession actually means and grants the possibility to build an important network for the future. The payroll office at Hedin Bil has been accepting interns from the vocational schools regularly for the last three years.
