exhibition View of Ireland: Collecting Photograph
s A photography exhibition, whatever next? Well, as astonishing as it may seem, this will mark the first time in the history of the National Gallery of Ireland. View of Ireland: Collecting Photography will include works from the Gallery’s collection and will include both vintage and modern prints: daguerreotypes, albumen prints, platinum and silver gelatin prints. Contemporary photographers such as Eamonn Doyle and Dragana Jurišić join older works in their collection from the likes of Erich Hartmann, Nevill Johnson and Julia Margaret Cameron. National Gallery until Sunday February 2 Workshop Plastic Free Cosmetics Plastic has got a fairly hard rap in 2019. It’s certainly the year in which it has been identified as an environmental enemy we can relate to because we use so damn much of it. As part of the Science Gallery’s new Plastic exhibition, this workshop run by Emma Hyland of MuMe natural cosmetics. In this practical and informative workshop, you will make a beautiful solid moisturising bar, bath fizzy and lip balm all made from natural ingredients. You will practically be hugging a dolphin.
