Gingerbread Gin A spirit usually enjoyed ice-cold in Summer, the ever-versatile gin has just been given a cheery seasonal makeover designed to warm the cockles of gin lovers everywhere. The re-fresh comes in the form of a gingerbread liqueur variation, with tasting notes featuring a decidedly soothing combination of ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and orange. The newcomer works nicely with a splash of tonic, and also succeeds in holding its own neatly over ice. Fans of the botanical elixir can sample the tipple from the beginning of October priced €14.99 from Aldi. aldi.ie Pssst – Got some food ’n’ drink nuggets you’d like to share with Totally Dublin readers?
