Workflow for receiving artists in residence The City of Refuge informs ICORN that the city is ready to receive an artist for the programme. ICORN sends a list of candidates. The City of Refuge selects which candidate to invite and informs ICORN. ICORN forwards the request to the invited candidate. If the artist accepts the invitation, ICORN establishes contact between the City of Refuge and the artist. The City of Refuge starts the work to get the artist into sanctuary. Inviting an artist in residence The coordinator contacts ICORN to give an idea of what the City of Refuge is like and what kind of artist the City can invite. ICORN then matches the City of Refuge with potential applicants and sends a list of suggestions to the City. When the City receives ICORN’s list of suggested artists, the selection committee (if applicable) meets to agree on which artist should be invited. In some cases, the chairman and vice chairman of the cultural committee share in making the decision. ICORN is informed of the decision and replies with confirmation as to whether the artist has accepted the invitation or not.
