Cities of Refuge 1
Remember: the role of the City of Refuge coordina
tor is to be a colleague to artists in residence. Budget As a member of ICORN, a City of Refuge must provide accommodation for the artist in residence, a scholarship for the term of residency and the costs for a City of Refuge coordinator. The total annual budget differs between the various cities depending on accommodation rental costs, whether the artists in residence has family or others accompanying them, and whether work hours for the coordinator are included in the Cities of Refuge budget. ICORN members pay an annual membership fee to ICORN. The ICORN membership fee is decided every two years at the General Assembly. Contact ICORN’s secretariat for the current membership fee. The table below shows examples of items that may be included in the budget for the ICORN programme. The City of Refuge decides which extra items it can afford and would like to add to the budget. 16/49
