Exhibitiions In The City Grows a Field (I staden
växer ett fält) - 50 artists in Malmö The Malmö art scene is diverse, but collegial and loving. Malmö Konsthall tries to make this special mix visible through this exhibition where they have invited 50 local artists to fill the art gallery. The exhibition reflects the dynamic energy of the city, its attraction for artists to move to Malmö and stay there, the tenacity and integrity of art, and its network of alternative and artist-run exhibition spaces. In The City Grows A Field, on display until January 15th at Malmö Konsthall. Photo Helene Toresdotter Twilight Land (Skymningsland) Twilight Land is a group exhibition that explores the feeling of standing on the threshold of the unknown. Of realising that our lives cannot continue in the same way – that things are in fact changing at a rapid pace – but not knowing what is to come. Several of the artworks in the exhibition were created specifically for the exhibition and derive their nourishment from somewhere between destruction and creation, confusion and clarity, fear and hope. Twilight – the transition from day to night – might be associated with a fear of the approaching darkness, but also with creativity and fruitful encounters between fantasy and reality. Twilight Land is on display until April 9th. Photo Alberta Whittle 40
