YER ONE NEW TERRAIN ROADMAP Michael McDermott Our
gal pals in the Irish Design Shop have swept the broom upstairs extending their shop into their old work space on the first floor. The focus is on their jewellery brand Names Dublin which is entirely crafted by hand in their studio. To celebrate the expansion, they have just launched a new range called ‘Terrain’ which is inspired by the Burren. All pieces are crafted by hand in a choice of 9ct recycled gold, or recycled sterling silver. They are also bringing out their annual calendar which sees them collaborate with a local creative. Stepping up to the mark for 2019 is WorkGroup. Illustrator Aoife Dooley’s creation Your One Nikita is set to air as part of a new animated series on the RTE Player this month. Digital Beast have been working on the pox extraordinare who turned up in two publications How to be Massive and How to Deal with Poxes (on a Daily Basis). It features voiceovers from the likes of Emmet Kirwan. GREETINGS Heads up… The card game goes up a notch at Christmas and it really behoves us to consider who we support in the process. Rob Stears has a gently humorous take on the most wonderful time of the year while Paper Bear remain on the top of the pop-up tree. robstears.ie/christmas-cards paperbear.ie Once the December deluge of crazy is over, it’s time to take a more considered and frugal stock of matters in January.
