From quick ten-minute fixes to slow-cooked showstoppers such as Mexican street food, Italian fusion and traditional Greek classics, the constantly evolving menu uses recipes that combine easy step-by-step instructions with authentic ingredients to help make meal-times sing. An extensive choice of recipe boxes includes such beauties as Spanish-Style Chorizo Orzo with Lemon Aioli, and Greek-Style Lamb with Pitta Nachos and Garlic Mayo, a meal they describe as “a moreish, meaty twist on the classic platter.” Founded across the water in 2012, the brand has been getting things off to a promising start here by sourcing as many ingredients as possible locally, while also forging sustainable partnerships with such stellar Irish producers as Arndarl Farm, O’Hanlon Herbs, and McCormack Family Farms. Gousto Recipe Boxes start from €5.13 per portion, or €2.57 with a special introductory offer. gousto.ie SUMMER EATS AT THE LITTLE CACTUS We recommend heading over to Stoneybatter this month for some gorgeous helpings of HouseMade Falafel served with delicious Mango Chilli Salad, Pomegranate Cous Cous, Pepper Rocket and Molasses Dressing. The dish is just one of the many tasty summer salad specials currently gracing the menu at The Little Cactus on Manor Street, which also boasts a selection of great coffees served to your liking by a crew of very friendly baristas. @thelittlecactus_dublin This summer sees the coffee heads at Cloud Picker offering fans of indie caffeine a golden opportunity to step behind the roaster at their café on Pearse Street. They’ve brewed up a series of hands-on experiences designed to steer participants through the in-depth process of transforming coffee beans from origin green to perfectly roasted. Class sizes are capped at a maximum of just two people, resulting in a very personal approach to the learning involved. Afterwards, there’s a custom box of freshly roasted beans to take home, along with an individual Roaster’s Pack and a certificate proclaiming your newly acquired roasting acumen. Priced at €100 per person, the sessions take place over two hours on Saturdays, with a choice of three different time-slots to choose from. Pick one, get yourself caffeinated, and you’re good to go. Bookings via the website. @cloudpickercoffee CANNY COLLAB - BACHELORS BEANS X BALLYMALOE RELISH This year sees the canny old beans at Batchelors marking ninety years of flavour by teaming up with Ballymaloe for a celebratory new collab.
