red by Roche The company has signed an agreement with Foundation Medicine, an independent subsidiary of Roche, that will acquire the company for a deal value of up to USD 595 million, including commercial and regulatory milestone payments. SAGA'S TECHNOLOGY analyses tumor-specific structural variations in DNA from blood samples, in contrast to more traditional methods that focus on individual mutations. This enables highly sensitive detection of residual disease and thereby earlier identification of cancer recurrence, which can be critical for treatment outcomes. The company has achieved several key milestones, including clinical validation of the lead product Pathlight with strong results, a commercial launch in the US, and Pathlight obtaining Medicare reimbursement for breast cancer, which is a key prerequisite for commercial scaling in the US market. Following closing, Saga Diagnostics’ platform will be integrated into Foundation Medicine.
