esigner Gianni Clifford is still on a very constructive mission to rebuild Dublin brick by brick, pub by pub. His latest creation features a replica of O’Brien’s, which was photographed recently in the lovely city centre pub that inspired it. We consider it a thing of beauty, and while LEGO does not sponsor the site or its products, we have no hesitation in endorsing these superb pieces of work. New additions to look forward to include Fr Ted’s Parochial House, a keyring featuring DJ Provai and a micro metropolis of the city that inspires so many of Gianni’s great builds. Returning for its fourth year, Rocktoberfest 2026 takes over Rascals Brewery for a one-day celebration of German lager, Irish craft beer, great food and a soundtrack that leans heavily into rock, punk, emo and alternative classics. Tunes come courtesy of former Phantom and TXFM favourite Joe Donnelly, who’ll be peppering the daytime soundtrack with a mix of classic rock, garage and punk, before Whelan’s and Fibbers regular Dan Cullen turns things up a notch with a set packed full of nu-metal, emo and pop-punk anthems. Spread across the brewery, restaurant, loft bar and outdoor terrace, the festival offers plenty of space to settle in for the day and savour some great guest pours, giant pretzels, and fresh pizzas. Each ticket includes a pint of Rascals beer, a reusable festival cup and the chance to join a brewery tour, with beer games and prizes all adding to the festive spirit.
