g ten years of representing the Republic of Ireland, Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Ireland has launched its campaign for 2023 giving unsigned Irish underground music an international voice. The opportunity of a lifetime is up for grabs as Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Ireland gets underway for 2023’s campaign. Over the last decade, M2TM Ireland has showcased many unsigned/grassroots Irish Underground/Heavy/Extreme/ Metal and Rock artists to an international market within the Republic of Ireland, providing many opportunities for some of the country’s most exciting up-and-coming underground bands, to reach bigger audiences, as well as performing at Bloodstock Open Air in the UK. One Irish band will be performing on the bill alongside headliners, Killswitch Engage and Megadeth, as well as Anthrax, In Flames, DevilDriver, PAGE 38 Sepultura, Ugly Kid Joe, Knocked Loose, Decapitated, Whitechapel, Zeal & Ardor, Biohazard, Unto Others, and so many more that has yet to be announced. Previous years’ winners have benefited tremendously from M2TM Ireland, with offers not only to return to Bloodstock to perform on bigger stages, but bookings from other festivals such as Metal Days and Wacken, as well as touring opportunities and high-profile support slots from booking agents here in Ireland and the UK. There are up to 35 available slots for bands to take part, and as of today, the application process is live, via: form.jotform.com/ M2TMIRELAND/23. Once the application process is complete and the chosen bands are locked in by early December, twelve live shows will begin in late January in Fibber Magees venue on Parnell St. Dublin 1, and finish on Saturday, May 13th, where Bloodstock booking agent, Simon Hall will be in attendance to handpick the band that will be performing at Bloodstock Open Air next August alongside some of the worlds biggest names in heavy music. A total of twelve showcase events will take place with two bands graduating from each event, which is determined by crowd votes and judges’ votes.
