INDQVIST, MATTIAS DE FRUMERIE MODELLEN – A TRUE The unique six-storey timber building Modellen, squeezed into a courtyard in the heart of Stockholm, gained industry recognition for its remarkable logistical feat. The one-of-a-kind Wallfast construction project won Sweden’s most prestigious construction industry award — Årets Bygge 2025 (Construction Project of the Year). his is Wallfast’s first win and a significant recognition for us. It’s also our first collaboration with the contractor MVB, making this success—despite the challenging logistical conditions—even more special,” says Joakim Bejtoft, Head of Project Development at Wallfast. The biggest challenge was transporting materials to the inner courtyard through an archway. However, many initially sceptical neighbours now say it feels like Modellen has always been there,” Erik adds. THE SIX-STOREY TIMBER project not only exemplifies Wallfast’s commitment to sustainable development and innovative urban solutions but also establishes Wallfast as a pioneer in construction sustainability. “We strive to reduce our environmental impact and make our operations more sustainable.
