If your ladders are used very frequently and by many different people you might want to inspect them a bit more often. Check that all parts and attachments are in good condition. • Make sure that there are no dents or cracks on any parts. • Check that there is no excessive play between parts. • Check that platforms and locking mechanisms lock properly. • Check that the anti-slip protection isn’t too worn or have become too old and hard. • Make sure that the steps, rungs and platforms isn’t contaminated with paint or other substances that can make them slippery.
