Mora One, a timeless design with a history dating
back 90 years It all started when architect and designer Thomas Sandell saw an old water pump in a yard in Mora. The kind of classic green pump, often stained with rust, that year after year proudly and persistently pumps water in the yard of country and summer houses with excavated wells. Taking his inspiration from the upright shape of the water pump, its conical shape and sharp transitions to the flat surfaces, Thomas Sandell designed our new Mora One serie. Created from contrasts The contrasts make the magic happen. Mora One is a warm, sober, elegant serie that get its inspiration not only from that beautiful old water pump, but from Mora Armatur’s 90 years of history as well. Mora One is designed for the modern home, where details like the taps you choose can lift the entire kitchen or bathroom. Thomas Sandell’s design is timeless and will grow with time. Innovation + design + craftsmanship = true It is a long and complicated process to develop and produce a new serie of mixers. Each mixer is cast in brass and is tested and modified for a long time. Technical innovation, craftsmanship and design must go hand in hand to make it work. For a more sustainable world An important target for Mora Armatur is that the mixers should contribute to a more sustainable world by saving as much water and energy as possible without compromising on comfort. Made by hand in Östnor since 1927 Mora Armatur is one of the most modern factories in Europe producing sanitary fittings. Mora Armatur is located just outside Mora, Sweden. We have been making mixers by hand here since 1927, with the greatest possible care. This is how we always have done things. Thomas Sandell is one of Sweden’s leading architects and designers, and is responsible for famous buildings such as the Stockholmsbörsen building and Gåshaga brygga on the island of Lidingö. The wonder of technology Mora One is more than just a beautiful serie of mixers. It is also the result of several decades of advanced and well-tested technology. One example is soft closing on kitchen and basin mixers, and pressure control on thermostatic mixers. LIFE AROUND A TAP 5
