Mora One 1
Mora One, timeless design with 90 years of histor
y. It all started when architect and designer Thomas Sandell spotted a beautiful antique pump in a farmyard in Mora. It was one of those classic, rust-coloured water pumps that proudly and reliably pump water year after year in rural premises throughout Sweden. Inspired by the pump’s towering shape and conical body and the sharp transitions to the flat surfaces, Thomas designed our new Mora One mixer collection. Created from contrast Magic is born out of contrasts. Mora One is a warm, sober, elegant collection inspired by the beautiful old farmyard pump as well as by Mora Armatur’s 90-year history. Mora One is designed for modern homes where a detail like a mixer can lift the whole look of a kitchen or bathroom. Thomas’s design is discreet and elegant, a timeless classic. Innovation, design and craftsmanship – a match made in heaven Developing a new mixer collection is a time-consuming process where technical innovation, design and craftsmanship must go hand in hand for optimum results. At Mora Armatur, each mixer is carefully cast in brass and modified to perfection over a long period of time. For a more sustainable world Needless to say, we want to do our bit for the environment and make sure our mixers contribute to a more sustainable world. We aim to make them as water- and energy-efficient as possible. Mora One is no exception. Sustainability was a focal point throughout the entire design process. Hand-crafted in Östnor since 1927 Thomas Sandell is one of Sweden’s most renowned architects and designers. He has designed such famous buildings as the Stockholm Stock Exchange and Gåshaga Brygga on Lidingö. A miracle of technology Mora One isn’t just beautiful; it’s the result of decades of advanced, proven technology. The collection boasts features such as Soft Closing on the kitchen and basin mixers and pressure control on the thermostats. It might be hard to believe that one of Europe’s most modern sanitary fittings factories is located in the heart of Dalarna in rural Sweden. But it’s true. Mora Armatur is located in the small village of Östnor near Mora. Here we have been hand crafting taps with the utmost care since 1927. And the tradition continues. Happy 90th birthday to us We are celebrating our 90th birthday by launching Mora One, and also by continuing the tradition established long ago by Frost Karl Mattsson. Mora Armatur is one of northern Europe’s largest and most modern sanitary fitting producers, and we’ll make sure it stays that way.
