Cork Summer Nights at Moore Street - Every Thursd
ay from 13th July to 6th August from 4pm - 10pm For four weeks Moore Street, Dublin’s newest oldest Market will be an early evening into night-time outdoor food extravaganza. Summer Nights at Moore Street will feature a selection of funky flavoured food stalls from around the world plus a full programme of street art, live music, storytelling, magic, and circus performances. There’ll be an outdoor street food dining area where you can be entertained as you sample an array of foods on offer. There’ll be live music from PrYmary Colours, dance workshops from Allessandra Zevedo, street art with artists including Novice, Gareth Joyce, ESTR, enchanting story telling with Hog & Dice and Senem Donatan Mohan plus live tattooing, henna and fortune telling. Other markets worth checking out include the Red Stables Food Market in St Anne’s Park, Clontarf, Dublin 3, every Saturday from 10am to 4pm in the Red Stables Courtyard. The market’s focus is on quality merchandise supplied and sold by locally based producers, crafts persons and artisans and include handmade chocolates, artisan cheeses and preserves, organic meat, freshly baked bread, cakes and biscuits, toasted nuts and organic produce. From olives and freshly baked bread to artisan cheeses and Irish honey, you’ll have a hamper full of goodies selected in no time. If you’re planning a weekend of cooking, check out the butcher or fruit and veg stall for inspiration before you decide what’s on the menu. Blackrock Market, 19a Main Street, Blackrock, is a short DART or bus ride from the city centre and happens on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays (11am-5:30pm). One of the most eclectic markets in all of county Dublin, the Blackrock Market is packed with antique stores and food stalls with tastes from Lebanon to South Korea. The feel is like a European flea market with its unpredictable combination of modern art, local and global cuisine and handcraft vendors. Are you free? So are we!
