Latin American oasis Next door to Restaurang Vide
gård, the new outdoor bar La Quinta opens with a focus on Caipirinhas and pitchers. It’s comprised of two bars with different concepts – the little bar with cocktails from Mexico, and the large bar offering a drinks menu with inspiration from Brazil. Behind La Quinta we find the bar team of Jorge Enrique Quintana and Love Wesström who, since earlier this year, have also been responsible for the bar at Videgård. Both have experience from Stockholm’s Mexican restaurant Yuc. “A guest shall feel at home at La Quinta. The idea is to give you the feeling that you’re hanging out in a Latin American oasis, but in the middle of Sturegallerian. Bossa Nova and Samba music will help create that feeling,” the duo explain. /PT Surfers in Humlegården Long an obvious destination for anyone visiting Visby, four years ago Surfers also opened up on Regeringsgatan in Stockholm. And now, for the second summer running they will look after Stureplansgruppen’s summery spot in Humlegården. “We have really been looking forward to coming back to Humlegården. It’s almost the same feeling as when you were a child and the long and wonderful summer break beckoned,” Mymlan Isenborg who runs Surfers says. /PT Surfers x Humlan is open seven nights a week. All summer long. Stockholms Akvavit After a barnstorming success with several organic gin products, created in an old Jaguar workshop on Södermalm, Stockholms Bränneri has now expanded their portfolio to include an akvavit. “To us, akvavit is the Scandinavian gin, so it was an obvious choice to create this product as a meeting between classic gin and akvavit. It’s inspired by Swedish summers with a prominent tone of fresh dill seeds, creating a fantastic freshness and balance towards caraway, fennel and the classic gin spices,” Calle, one of the founders of Stockholms Bränneri, says. /PSC 21
