Visible and safe Maximize your protection. 1. Mak
e sure that your high-vis garments are ISO compliant. All garments that conform to the standard for High Visibility are marked with the EN ISO 20471 symbol. 2. Always wear the high-vis garment closed to ensure maximum protection and reduce the risk of entanglement. 3. Never fold your leg ends as it may decrease the area of visibility or cover the reflective areas. 4. Rule of thumb: The dirtier the high-vis garment gets, the less effective it becomes. Take good care of all your garments, make sure that they are washed regularly. Always wash inside out to protect the reflex tape. And of course, follow the wash and care instructions! 5. Do not alter, cut off or remove reflective or fluorescent sections. HOW DOES IT WORK The difference between fluorescent, reflective and contrast material. The purpose of the fluorescent material is to be visible in dusk, dawn and daylight, as well as in fog or mist. The reflective material, on the other hand, is designed to be visible while illuminated in dark conditions. Complementing these two high-visibility materials, the non-fluorescent contrast materials come in a vast array of colours. To be certified according to EN ISO 20471:2013, the contrast materials must be resistant to bleeding during washing so that they don’t ruin the visibility of the garment’s fluorescent and reflective materials. 1130 AllroundWork, High-Vis 37.5® Insulated Jacket CL3 6639 AllroundWork, High-Vis 37.5® Insulated Trousers+ CL2 56 autumn/winter 2018 I Snickers Workwear
