When a pill has been taken a signal is sent out to Mevia’s database and if there is no signal the system reminds the patient, via an app, text message or a phone call, to take his or her pill. “Mevia’s technology can be applied directly to current pharmaceutical packaging without affecting the original product,” says Patrik Sjöstrand, Investment Manager at Almi Invest. “This makes it relatively easy to implement and become scalable.
