The coffee brand is pledging €100,000 over the next five years to support Hometree’s goals, which include addressing the climate and biodiversity crises, connecting people with nature and creating resilient native temperate rainforests. The organisation also sponsors an area of land in Hometree’s biggest site in Cnocán Bán, Co. Galway, which is part of the Wild Atlantic Rainforest Project, restoring large landscapes and complex ecosystems. As part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, their house blend coffee is 100% Rainforest Alliance certified, and they also offer a 20c discount when you bring your own reusable cup to participating Centra and SuperValu stores. @frankandhonestcoffee / hometree.ie NEW MEAL POTS FROM THANKS PLANTS The past four years have been busy ones for food entrepreneur Aisling Cullen, as she continues to grow Thanks Plants, the innovative vegan and vegetarian brand she founded in 2020. The range initially began with vegan sausages, and then subsequently progressed to include items such as nut roasts. Now the latest addition comprises a tasty selection of nutritious Meal Pots, offering a convenient meal, based on an all-natural, homemade recipe, featuring an array of globally inspired flavours. Speaking about the new arrivals, Aisling tells us that they come packed with fibre and essential nutrients, along with three of the five a day recommended vegetable servings. Each pot is 100% plant-based and contains over 20g of protein. The Thanks Plants founder says; “We wanted to create a Meal Pot that ticks all the nutrient boxes and makes healthy eating easy and convenient. What makes these meal pots different is that we soak our beans rather than using tinned ones, which maintains a higher protein level and also tastes a lot better too”. She recommends eating them on their own, or adding a crunchy bread roll or rice for an even heartier meal. Retailing at €3.95, there are three flavours in the range – Hearty Italian Kale and Bean Stew, Cauliflower and Coconut Dal, and Thai Yellow Curry. Thanks Plants Meal Pots can be found on the shelves of Tesco, Dunnes, Supervalu and independent retailers nationwide. @thanksplants.co 32
