ART Staying with the Trouble at IMMA Inspired by
Donna Haraway’s influential text, Staying with the Trouble is a major group exhibition opening at IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art) on Friday 2 May 2025, running through 28 September 2025. Featuring over 40 Irish and Ireland-based artists, the show explores themes of transformation, interspecies relationships, and ecological renewal through sculpture, painting, film, installation, and performance. It challenges human-centric perspectives, embracing Haraway’s ideas such as “Making Kin” and “Sowing Worlds.” A screening programme of moving image works runs from May to September, with a special live performance event on Saturday 26 July 2025. Artists include Alice Rekab, Sam Keogh, Farouk858, Laura Ní Fhlaibhín, Michelle Malone, and more—inviting audiences to rethink kinship in a shared, complex world. imma.ie literature MoLI’s De Profundis Installation on Oscar Wilde Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis—his deeply personal prison letter—is the focus of a new film installation at MoLI, marking 125 years since his death. The exhibition presents Wilde’s raw emotions, from sorrow to philosophical insight, through performances by twelve LGBTQ+ writers, artists, and activists, including Naoise Dolan, Seán Hewitt, and Tonie Walsh. MoLI, in partnership with Ebow Digital, brings fresh perspectives on Wilde’s life, highlighting his struggles, artistic depth, and enduring love for Bosie. The 60-minute installation immerses visitors in Wilde’s words, revealing a side beyond his famous wit. moli.ie/visit GIG THUMPER headline The Depot Sessions at The Complex The Depot Sessions return to The Complex on Friday June 6th, bringing some of Ireland’s most exciting live acts to the unique warehouse space of The Depot. Kicking off this summer’s series is THUMPER, the Dublin-based psych-pop six-piece known for their explosive energy and relentless live shows. Their highenergy sound, powered by two drummers and four guitarists, has placed them alongside Fontaines D.C. and The Murder Capital as one of Ireland’s most essential live bands. This ‘in-the-round’ show will be a rare chance to experience new material in an intimate and immersive setting.
