Overseeing a DIGITAL SHIPPING REVOLUTION OVERSEA fleet support centre streamlines marine operations and provides insights that enable a smarter and more sustainable operation. This joint project with ABB is a firstofitskind offering that combines fleet management expertise with digitalization and advanced analytics, making it a step towards more sustainable shipping. W allenius Marine has taken another step in the ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and sustainability with the opening of the OVERSEA fleet support centre. This joint project with ABB is at the forefront of digital technology in a centre that will help ship owners, operators and managers reduce emissions and enable them to perform more efficient maintenance with decisions based on best practice and data analytics. Based on ABB’s Genix platform, experts at the centre will be able to turn data into insights and insights into actions offering daily advice, performance reviews and reporting, and ondemand performance consulting. The project is part of Wallenius Marine’s strategy to drive the transition towards truly sustainable shipping, with the focus on today’s shipping industry. As it is scalable, it can meet the needs of all sizes of shipping companies. Jesper Lögdström, Head of Performance Management at Wallenius Marine, says, “Through OVERSEA, we will be able to provide better and more comprehensive support to Ship Management. We are also able to reach new, external customers for our services. OVERSEA will be sold within ABB Marine & Port’s digital product portfolio, through their global sales and service network.” Piloting of the OVERSEA fleet support centre began in October 2022 on a few vessels under Wallenius Marine Ship Management, and the project is set to be launched on the market in 2023.
