LFV Annual Report 2022 1
29 LFV offers, among other things, airspace desig
n work, obstacle measurements, support in environmental permit processes and the new service PinS (Point in Space), a satellite-based approach procedure for helicopters. L-CAPS The technical platform L-CAPS is, in addition to being LFV's system support for aeronautical information services and MET notification, also a commercial offer to other air navigation services. The solution, like a cloud service, provides distributed access to functionality to produce own operational activities such as flight plan management, flight procedure design, aeronautical information services, and meteorological services. The Icelandic air navigation service provider Isavia has used L-CAPS as a customer for the successful realisation of Iceland's historic accession to Eurocontrol and the EAD. Based on the platform, the Danish counterpart Naviair has, as one of the first air navigation services in Europe, migrated to the latest standard of exchange formats in AIS which enables digitalisation and efficient information exchange within ATM. The respective air navigation services have adopted their own commissioning methods for the operational deployment of L-CAPS, where LFV carried out preparation activities and access control from the Swedish Transport Agency during the year.
