Our main focus is on alcoholic beverages: from drinks in the bar to beer on our pier, and through to the entertaining exhibitions about everything from distilling to how tastes and drinks affect us. Even our art exhibit, with works from the legendary Absolut Art Collection, centres around a bottle. Entrance to the museum including a sampler with four Swedish beverages: 250 SEK. Entrance without sampler: 120 SEK. Current Exhibitions: Absolut Art Collection – The Wilder Side There’s crawling, hovering, buzzing, spinning and howling in this summer’s art exhibition at Spritmuseum. We travel from the polar regions to the tropics and back, via migratory birds, mother spiders and dancing starfish. Some of the most famous artworks from the Abolut Art Collection feature animal motifs, like Louise Bourgeois’ spider, Ed Ruscha’s howling wolf silhouette, Maurizio Cattelan’s hungover mouse and George Rodrigues’ little blue dog. In some, the animals are at the centre of the works, while in the others they are just in the details, but always in the company of the true star, the vodka bottle. As always with the Absolut Art Collection, the selection is colourful and multi-dimensional, with many different techniques and modes of expression. The artists come from many different parts of the world. Some are super-famous, while others work more locally. Almost all the images have been an advertisement at some point, somewhere in the world. There, they were regarded as somewhere between art and advertisement. Now we can see the original works.
