n the Swedish championships The excitement of victory had no limits when the riders for Elit Vetlanda drive around the track and are cheered on by more than 6,000 spectators in the Vetlanda Motorstadium on a cool Wednesday in October, 2010. Accompanied by traditional speedway horns, Bengal fi res and the pop band E-type’s song “Campione” - this is the venue for the Swedish Champion’s Cup for the sixth time in the clubs history and for the third time during the 21st century. Teng Tools has, for many years, supplied almost all of the top speedway riders’ teams with tools. Regardless of whether it is a league meeting in Poland, a GP contest in England or as in this case the Swedish Championships Finale in Vetlanda, you can spot the red cabinets with the yellow eyes in the pits. Most Swedish motor racing fans know how the drivers made it through to this decisive Swedish Champion fi nale and that the fi nale ended 53 – 43 between Elit Vetlanda and the Lions from Gislaved. But how do they work in the pits? - We put a photographer in to have a look at the mechanics work during the evening… Facts Krzysztof Kuczwalski Age: 41 years Country: Poland Background: Driver for 13 years, tuned motors for two years and worked as a mechanic for eight years. What do you do during the contest? - Before the start everything needs to be unpacked and adjustments on the bikes need to be fi xed. During the contest full focus is needed. I need to be prepared for anything to happen such as changed adjustments, new bike at crash and some other small things that need to be fi xed. Mostly it is urgent and one must be organised and effi cient. What kind of tools do you use? - I only use Teng Tools, I have always done so and I have no plans to change. To me Teng Tools works perfectly and with the tool cabinets it is easy to fi nd the tool you are looking for. Do you bring along the tools between the contests? - The tools usually come along or you have double sets. Thomas competes in Sweden, Poland and England and he is also looking at the GP series. 9
