ROADMAP Michael McDermott OFF THE BALL Bohemians
F.C. created the position of ‘Poet in Residence’ for Lewis Kenny back in 2015, they worked with artist Brian Teeling on a t-shirt helping to tackle homophobia in the sport last year and now are supporting the creation of some truly iconic match day posters. Their recent one for a clash with Derry featured the iconic Guinness Toucan, originally created by John Gilroy, and masterfully re-interpreted by Mark O’Meara, creative director of the project along with co-ordinator Gavin Fahy. They’ve also used Dennis The Menace from The Beano and album artwork for The Streets Original Pirate Material as inspiration. They’ve just set up an instagram account to house all their posters to date and an end of season exhibition beckons also.
