Picking pallet A delivery unit compiled by the wholesaler/DC to a specific store. It is a pallet with the dimensions 800x1200 mm approved by the Swedish FMCG industry, which is loaded and labelled at the wholesaler/DC with outer packaging belonging to several different item numbers for distribution to the store. Polypropylene One of the most common thermoplastics Pooling pallet A pooling pallet is a pallet type owned by one party where all stakeholders who use the pallet share the risks through a pooling fee. Pooling pallets reduce incentives for passing off repairs between stakeholders, like with the EUR/EPAL pallet, which results in less risk for users. The pooling fee includes, among other things, new purchases, repairs and transport. Examples of Pooling companies are Svenska Retursystem, CHEP & LPR. Primary packaging See consumer packaging. Producer responsibility organisation Or PRO is an organisation approved by the Naturvårdsverket (Swedish Environmental Protection Agency) that is responsible for the producer’s packaging when it has been used. PÖS Acronym for Pallöverföringssystem (pallet transfer system) (PTS) in Sweden. Means that forwarders administer a pallet balance of EUR/EPAL between sender and recipient.
