CSR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY GRANNNET In Mimer’s f
uture apartment we highlight future challenges. One of them is involuntary loneliness and anonymity. We experience the paradox that people would like meeting venues, but become isolated more and more. As property owners, we know that we feel better, feel safer and happier if we can connect with our neighbor. So we created GrannNet, in the future apartment, a digital meeting place for neighbors in the apartment block. Initially we created a fi ctional version. In 2012 we took the plunge and created GrannNet for real. Th e digital meeting place will only be off ered to those who move into our new neighborhood on Öster Mälarstrand, Råseglet, and in the Activities house at Vallby. Occupancy is starting 2013. We will monitor the residents for two years and then evaluate the concept. If it is successful, we want to implement it in other areas housing areas. Our hope is that GrannNet will help to create good neighborliness. It is voluntary to participate and the log in can be made via the Mimer website. Th ere, neighbors can communicate with each other, place buy and sell advertisements, place exchange or swap ads, share recipes, post pictures, and more. We at Mimer may also communicate with our customers through the digital meeting place.
