f their iconic 1975 album Why Can’t We Be Friends? The album is getting a deluxe 3CD and digital release which includes the original album, seven previously unreleased bonus tracks, rare jam sessions, and unedited mixes, such as a never-before-released extended version of ‘Low Rider’, their bona fide funk classic. All Seeing Eyes - The Grand Social - July 3rd A real treat for fans of classic scuzzed up Americana tonight as Soledad Brothers member - and White Stripes collaborator - Johnny Walker brings his trio to town. This American trio hails from Dayton, Kentucky, and blends garage punk, psychedelic blues, and rock with a fabled live energy. Their debut album, In Us We Trust, was released in 2018 and has been described as “the MC5 of the country blues” by Tav Falco. Walker’s presence alone makes this a highly recommended show. Hibernacle is an intimate 3-day music event in Orlagh House in Rathfarnham - it’s a short taxi from Bray, nearby suburbs, or the city itself. Fleck, a 19time Grammy-winning banjo innovator, joins forces with Colombian harp virtuoso Castañeda and Mexican jazz drummer Sánchez, renowned for his Golden Globe-nominated score for Birdman. Together, they craft original compositions that blend bluegrass, jazz, Latin, and global rhythms, promising an unforgettable performance of intricate melodies and dynamic improvisations. Smokedope2016 - Button Factory - July 10th Smokedope2016 is an emerging WAR underground rapper and producer from Virginia, known for his nostalgic, cloud rap-inspired sound that blends elements of emo rap, trap, and drill. He has quickly gained a dedicated global fanbase, particularly among listeners who appreciate his hazy, melancholic style. The Beat - The Grand Social - July 11th Get ready for an unforgettable night as The Beat (UK) return to Dublin for a special one-off show at The Grand Social on Friday, 11 July.. Known for their infectious blend of ska, reggae, and punk, The Beat will be joined by Ranking Jnr, bringing their signature sound to the stage. The Beats debut album I Just Can’t Stop It is rightly regarded as one of the best debuts of all time and justifiably so with classic tracks like ‘Mirror In The Bathroom’ and ‘Hands Off, She’s Mine’ on its running order. Special guests The Skalps and Weedway will also be performing, adding to the vibrant lineup. David Keenan - The Ambassador - July 12th The Dundalk singer-songwriter, known for his poetic lyricism and emotive performances precedes the release of his fourth studio album, with this big headliner, promising fans a glimpse into his latest musical explorations. Keenan has been busy this year with the documentary film ‘Focla ar Chanbhás’ or ‘Words on Canvas’ directed by Paddy Hayes, an intimate journey that followed Irish singer-songwriter David Keenan over a 500-day period as he navigated the creation of new music. The film had its world premiere at the Chicago Irish Film Festival before closing Craicfest in New York and was very well received by the critics. Keenan is never dull so this gig is eagerly awaited. 5
