ROADMAP STONE ISLAND OPENS FLAGSHIP STORE The Ita
lian fashion brand Stone Island has opened the doors to a 90 square metre store at Norrmalmstorg 1. The store has been designed according to a new global concept, which has been prepared in collaboration with international design studio OMA/AMO. When visitors walk through the doors, they are greeted by a wall of stainless steel, and an acid-etched green display. A significant feature in the new shop design concept is the chandelier, which is a display that’s mounted to the floor, can rotate and be unfolded into a display booth. Among the items in store, you can find all of Stone Island’s gear, including the season collections as well as the Ghost, Marina and Stellina series. OPERA NIGHT CLUB AT HAMBURGER BÖRS Hamburger Börs has, since the 1800s, housed various floor shows and other forms of dinner entertainment. Now they’re expanding, and will add an opera club to their repertoire, when Club Callas moves into the classic premises. The club, which will run once a month, is being led by project manager Gudrun Hauksdottir, who says: “This is a pet project, which we have been working on for a long time. When I got in contact with opera tenor Kalle Leander, things really started moving. We want to create one of Stockholm’s most interesting meeting places, a place for everyone, not just for opera aficionados”. The reoccurring nights include live music, DJ-sets, and public appearances, and will take place on the first Sunday of each month. 6
