SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2019 DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY IS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE The group is active in a male dominated business branch. We are actively working to attract more employees of the underrepresented sex and strive to achieve a more even distribution between men and women. We offer the same business opportunities regardless of sex, age, sexual orientation, fate or political opinion. We think that differences in experiences and background is an asset concerning corporate culture, working environment as well as a competitive advantage when we meet our customers. Our long-term vision is that all of our employees should reflect the local market in general regarding the distribution of women and men, age and the number of coworkers with a foreign background. If we were to reach this goal, we would create more and better business deals through a bigger network and through a better understanding for the customerspecific needs. With the lack of the right competence in the work market there is an even greater lack of educated female coworkers within the business. HUMAN RIGHTS We support and respect the internationally proclaimed human rights. We ensure that we are not participating in any violations of human rights. As far as the applicable laws permits, all employees are free to form, join or decline membership to any and all unionized organization or similar external workers organizations, as well as negotiate collectively. Employees is to be treated with dignity and respect. Any physical, psychological, sexual, verbal or otherwise illegal harassments as well as every form of threat or intimidation is strictly forbidden. In our code of conduct our basic values about how the organization is practiced is stated. Our approach is important for our business and grants our employees guidelines for the challenges that they meet in their daily work. Our commitment is to, without compromise, act ethically in any and all situations. This is crucial for the success of our company as we have our good ethic to thank for the confidence and trust rendered in us from our customers, suppliers and stakeholders. DISCRIMINATION AND SEXUAL HARASSMENTS We are to offer a workplace where everyone is treated with respect. We condemn all sorts of sexual harassments and will not tolerate that anything of the sort exists. In our organization we do not tolerate any form of discrimination. This is not in accordance to our expectations to treat anyone different for any extraneous reason. Anyone of us will be judged purely by how they carry out their work tasks. The HR-department investigates and examines every case of complaint about violations of human rights, harassments or infringements. The company is collaborating actively and is audited by local union organs at any and all infringements and violations of human rights. We are mainly a retailer of our products and do not identify any direct risks within the area as we are cooperating with established suppliers and manufacturers. Same goes for locally hired suppliers and their sub-contractors within mainly the service sector and construction. Here, we do not have access to total transparency. The risks when hiring sub-contractors are mainly connected to health and security aspects. In order to minimize these risks, we are working with strategical purchases to increase the number of common suppliers of accessories, services, direct- and indirect materials within the organization. Through this work we ensure that we get an increased amount of qualified and approved suppliers and that our code of conduct is signed and accepted by the supplier. RESULTS There have been no reported cases within our knowledge of anything that have called for an investigation in this area.
