NUSSON, DANIEL GUAL On today´s schedule: workshop in ballet. other ways of self-expression, like ballet workshops, music lessons, scenography creativity and guided tours of the Opera. “When teachers and pedagogues from Young at the Opera manage to create a dynamic flow, the students get carried away and cultural expressions become a natural part of the school. Today, the students consider the work with Young at the Opera a natural part of their education,” says Lolitha Nilsson, former Principal of Smedshagsskolan. Sara Lewert, one of the pedagogues at Young at the Opera, is very happy with the project as a whole and of the progress the children have made after taking part. “It’s been amazing to see the students grow during the project. Several had never danced before, and had believed that it was not allowed. But it’s very important for young people to feel free to express themselves and do whatever they want, which comes down to basic democracy and human rights.
