e is analogous to choreographer Örjan Andersson’s artistry and a language derived from vastly different experiences of creating choreographic works. Whatever the context, this aspect of Örjan Andersson has been the common denominator – movement in space and time. Recent productions for Andersson Dance include “Name of the next song”, created to an electronic landscape by BJNilsen for four dancers, “Karmer kring blå”, a contemporary take on movement material from Swedish folk dancing and “Residual bits of sunlight” for five dancers to music by Sam Salem. In 2015 Andersson Dance and the prominent music ensemble Scottish Ensemble, based in Glasgow, will collaborate on a new grand scale creation, based on J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
