He seeks to stretch the meaning of words and the way language and words are displayed as letters – for example on the page of a book. He also experiments with narrative form, playing with the way the reader/viewer of a text approaches it. Corian is a fusion of several works, though in scope it is rather minimal. A few words or sentences come together to create a history of provocations, against Situation Stockholm, the magazine sold by homeless people, or a attempted attack on the Pope at Christmas in 2009. Reading Peter Thörneby, you are as much viewer as reader: let the words – their way of appearing on the page, their coherence – continue to work on your senses afterwards, like music or pictures. Then you will see the politics, and the humour, and the alternative ways of reading and telling a story.
