AND PARTNERSHIPS Collaboration and partnerships are becoming increasingly important. On this page, we show some examples of organisations that LFV collaborates with. In addition to this, LFV naturally has a large number of suppliers of services and products. OR GANIS ATIONS CANSO The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation is a global interest organisation for air navigation service providers. Together, CANSO's members handle over 85 percent of the world's air traffic. S WEDISH AIR TRANSPOR T SOCIETY LFV is one of six members of the Swedish Air Transport Society business organisation, whose purpose is to strengthen confidence in commercial airline operators so that these are given opportunities to operate and grow in Sweden. A UTHORITIE S EA S A The European Aviation Safety Agency is the common European aviation safety authority. EASA is continuously assuming responsibility for more and more of the authorisation and supervisory duties previously performed by the European countries’ own aviation safety agencies. EUROCONTROL A European organisation for aviation safety in the airspace, with approximately 40 countries as members. Eurocontrol has no legislative powers, but works to harmonise and develop air navigation services in the member countries. ICA O The International Civil Aviation Organization is a UN agency tasked with improving aviation safety through common rules in areas such as air navigation services. ICAO also works with issues such as airport design, pilot and air traffic controller certification, and the airworthiness of aircraft. Most of the world's countries are members of ICAO. THE SWEDISH TRANSPOR T A GENCY The Swedish Transport Agency is the Swedish supervisory authority for aviation. Amongst other things, LFV collaborates with the Swedish Transport Agency in designing rules and controls for aviation. 20 PR OGRAMME S SE S AR – SINGLE EUROPEAN SKY In Europe, the aviation industry works together to meet expected increases in traffic and to develop technical and operational capabilities for the airspace. LFV participates in the EU programme SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) through COOPANS.
