GÖTEBORGS DANS & TEATER FESTIVAL Göteborgs Dans &
Teater Festival is a biennial festival for international performing arts in Gothenburg, Sweden. The festival was established in 1994 and has ever since invited international artists to share stories with a diverse audience: stories from all over the world; stories that underline our present; stories that reflect life. A wide range of initiatives – including residency programmes, co-productions, international network meetings and artistic labs – allow the festival to reinforce its position as an important platform in the local cultural scene, with the objectives of supporting and circulating contemporary performing arts in an international context. Since 2007 the festival has been one of eight festival partners in the NXTSTP network, supported by the EU Culture Programme to co-produce and tour new European works. The festival is a division of Stora Teatern, the main presenting venue in Gothenburg for Swedish and international performing arts.
