AND PARTNERSHIP In order to be able to deliver smart solutions for tomorrow's flights, collaborations and alliances are of strategically important to LFV. They give LFV the ability to offer customers innovative and competitive products and concepts. ORGANISATIONS CANSO Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation is a global interest organisation primarily for suppliers of air traffic services. CANSO's members handle over 85 per cent of the world's air traffic. SWEDISH AVIATION LFV is one of six members of the organisation Svenskt Flyg, which has the purpose of improving faith in commercial air traffic so that it has the opportunity to operate and develop in Sweden. AUTHORITIES EASA European Union Aviation Safety Agency is the European aviation safety authority for all of Europe. EASA is, to an increasing extent, taking over the licensing and supervisory that were carried out by the European countries' own air traffic safety authorities. EUROCONTROL A European organisation for coordination of air traffic in the European airspace with almost 40 member states. Eurocontrol does not have a legislated mandate but works to harmonise and develop air traffic services in the member countries THE SWEDISH ARMED FORCES Civil and military air traffic service have been integrated since 1978. Air traffic service provides by LFV for military aviation and for fleet in the air space. The Swedish Armed Forces do not have their own air traffic service. ICAO The International Civil Aviation Organization, is a UN body with the task of improving aviation safety by establishing common regulations within air traffic service, among other areas. ICAO also deals with issues like the design of airports, certification of pilots and air traffic controllers and the suitability of aircraft for flight. Most of the countries in the world are members of ICAO. THE SWEDISH TRANSPORT AGENCY The Swedish Transport Agency is a supervisory authority for aviation. Develops regulations and carries out oversight. LFV collaborates with the Swedish Transport Agency in the drafting of regulations and monitoring for aviation. PROGRAMME SESAR – SINGLE EUROPEAN SKY The aviation industry in Europe collaborates in order to meet expected traffic increases and develop technical and operative conditions for air space. LFV participates in the EU programme SESAR, Single European Sky, ATM Research, via COOPANS. ALLIANCES COOPANS A collaboration between the six air traffic service providers in Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Austria, Portugal and Croatia to coordinate the development of a common air traffic control system. 32 32
