sists of providers of air traffic service in twelve European countries. The purpose of the alliance is to promote development of European aviation within the scope of the SESAR programme. BOREALIS An alliance between nine northern European providers of air traffic control services, including LFV. The goal is to establish direct flight paths within the entire alliance by 2021 in order to improve sustainability from an environmental perspective. COMPANIES SAAB DIGITAL AIR TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS AB SDATS or Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions is owned by Saab and LFV. The company’s mandate is to develop, market, sell and operate air traffic control remotely. ENTRY POINT NORTH AB School for air traffic control that is owned by air traffic control providers in three countries. The operations are run by a company jointly owned together with Naviair and IAA. The purpose is to coordinate and improve effectiveness of training programmes and to ensure the ability to improve within the area of training. LFV and Denmark-based Naviair's jointly owned company that was closed in 2019. NUAC handled operations at the control centers in Stockholm, Malmö and Copenhagen. CUSTOMERS AND COLLABORATIONS SWEDAVIA State-owned company with a mandate to operated and develop ten airports from Kiruna in the north to Malmö in the south. LFV provides air traffic service at those airports and works closely with Swedavia. LFV will provide remote air traffic control to the four Swedavia airports: Kiruna, Umeå, Östersund and Malmö. PRIVATE/MUNICIPAL AIRPORTS 33 airports across the country, from Pajala in the north to Kristianstad in the south. Svenska Regionala Flygplatser is owned by Svenska Regionala Flygplatsförbundet (SRFF) which is a collaborative body for Sweden's non-state-owned airports. NAVIAIR Denmark's air traffic service provider with the mandate to assume responsibility for air traffic control in Danish airspace. After closing the jointly owned company NUAC in 2019, the collaboration will continue in new forms. RESEARCH AND INNOVATION The Swedish Transport Agency, Vinnova, INEA and universities are collaborative partners in LFV's research and innovation work. Roughly 25 projects and preliminary studies were carried out with researchers and doctoral candidates in 2019.
