BMW deltar på Isle of Man TT 1939 vann tyske BMW-
”First let me introduce myself. I’m Eric Verbeek and currently president of the classics group within the BMW Club Netherlands. Next to some other BMW Classics, I have an R 68 (1952), and together with other R 68 enthusiasts, I’m planning to organise an international R 68 meeting in the Netherlands in 2012. That year it will be 60 years ago that the R 68 was introduced. Not many R 68 were produced, only 1.451 was made. I don’t know how many have survived, but they are spread around the world, and I wonder if there are any in Sweden. Do you know if there are any R 68 within your club? When yes, I would like to get in contact with them to see if there is any interest in joining this planned R 68 meeting in 2012. Another question. Are there any R 75 (you know, the WW II sidecar) in the club? In the Netherlands we organise an annual international meeting for these bikes. Last year we had 50 classic military motorbikes, and about 30 were the BMW R 75 and Zündapp KS 750 sidecar combinations coming from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK. When there is any interest from Sweden, we would like to invite your club members with such a bike too”. Hope to hear from you soon, and kind regards, Eric Verbeek E-mail: Eric_Verbeek@aon.nl plus25@bmwclubnederland.nl BUMSEN 2 – 2010 37
