rimary role is to provide safe, efficient and environmentally adapted air navigation services for civil and military aviation. LFV also has to work to ensure that the transport policy objectives are achieved. LFV is a state-owned enterprise offering air traffic management services and other related services in Sweden and internationally. To meet increased requirements of capacity, availability, and sustainability, LFV develops new and innovative services and concepts. LFV is also participating in the development of the European airspace through collaborations and partnerships. LFV has around 1,100 employees and a turnover of SEK 3.3 billion in 2017. LFV’s operations pertains to three main operative areas: Air navigation services, Research and Innovation, and other commercial services. LFV OFFER SMART SOLUTIONS FOR THE AVIATION OF TOMORROW A reliable partner LFV is to be a reliable and flexible partner, contributing to the customer's development of their operations based on the market's requirements and challenges. By being solution-oriented, engaged, and thinking in new ways, we build long-term relations with customers and other stakeholders. LFV offers smart solutions for the aviation of tomorrow. Local air navigation services LFV carries out local air navigation services at 20 airports in Sweden, from Kiruna in the north, to Malmö in the south. LFV works in the long term and close to the customers to create complete solutions which support the customer's business and operations. En route Since 2009, the Danish-Swedish airspace is a single airspace. There, LFV and Navair carry out air traffic management through the jointly owned company NUAC. Straight flight routes make it easier to plan and Navair and LFV develop a more efficient air traffic management together. The customers are the airlines frequenting the airspace. Airport services LFV is an experienced provider of services for simplifying and making the air navigation management more efficient. In addition, LFV offers everything needed to fulfill the requirements connected to the certified services LFV carry out at airports. Airspace services The complexity in designing airspaces and routes increases due to the large number of aircraft movements and changed travel patterns. The flights are to be efficient, LFV’s OPERATIVE AREAS AIR NAVIGATION SERVICES Air Traffic Management Flight information Weather presentation from a financial, capacity, safety, and environmental perspective. A large part of the work concerns cooperation across borders and between different actors. Excluding flight inspection, LFV offers obstacle analysis, procedure and airspace design, etc. Technology services LFV has long experience from different technology systems for air traffic management and other services for airports. LFV’s management of systems and premises are carried out in accordance with current legislation, principles, and standards. LFV offers, e.g. technical and operative expertise, aviation safety expertise, and investigation competency. Information services LFV is responsible for the management of aeronautical information for civil as well as military aviation in Sweden. LFV provides airspace users with information regarding regulations, maps, routes, radio frequencies, navigation support, and flight procedures. In addition, LFV provides the Swedish Armed Forces with military source data, military flight procedures, and other services. Environment services LFV has long experience of designing flight procedures, and airspaces around airports. LFV may contribute to the airports' work by ensuring that all requirements and regulations are met in an efficient way. Education LFV, Navair and the Irish IAA has joint ownership of Entry Point North AB, which offers training of air traffic controllers. LFV also offers basic orientation courses for actors in the industry.
